Apple is making music-related apps for iPhones and iPads that use augmented reality technology, CBS News’ John Miller reports.
The company is making the software free and open source.
AppleInsider reported earlier this year that Apple was working on its own music apps.
Miller reported that Apple has made some changes to its Music app to address concerns from developers that it doesn’t have enough control over how it collects data.
Apple’s Music app, currently in beta, allows users to add playlists to their music library.
However, it does not offer access to artist information.
